The Loop Special: A Look At 2012

Before we kickstart our end of the year review, let’s have a last minute edition of our loop, anticipating the most interesting new releases announced for the first months of the New Year and featuring previews of long awaited debuts from artists who generated a strong buzz during 2011, headed by Lana Del Rey, whose first album to be released in January, feels a bit rushed out trying to cash on the enormous success of ‘Video Games’. Frank Ocean; Azealia Banks; A$ap Rocky and Friends are also being tipped for big things in many sound of 2012 forecasts.

Among the big returns, Leonard Cohen will launch his twelfth studio album, ‘Old Ideas’, Lambchop, Leila & Raekwon also got new material ready and Sharon Van Etten; Gonjasufi; Cities Aviv; Perfume Genius and Field Music are generously giving away new tracks previewing their respective new efforts.
