Lizzo Takes Her Juice To The #1 Of Our Loop

Minneappolis urban singer Lizzo is the new number one in our loop with her irresistibly soulful ‘Juice.’ Also climbing our chart very fast are the avant pop of Danish band Lowly and the collaboration between Conor Oberts and Phoebe Bridgers, Better Oblivion Community Center. Two other surprising collaborations complete this week’s Top 5: James Blake with ROSALÍA and King Princess with Fiona Apple.

With an unusual quantity of guitar-based music debuting in our chart, the highest entry of the week are Norwegian indie rockers Spielbergs with their banging ‘Five on It,’ a standout track from their debut album. Among the rest of the entries the new offerings by Julia Jacklin; King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard; Martha; Octo Octa; Koffee; Unloved feat. Étienne Daho; Le Villejuif Underground; Mercury Rev feat. Susanne Sundfør; The Parrots and the catchy return of Outkast’s Big Boi collaborating with Sleepy Brown in ‘Doin It’.

Sharon Van Etten’s ‘Seventeen’ New #1 In The Loop

New Jersey songwriter Sharon Van Etten is the new number one in our loop with ‘Seventeen,’ her evocative song about teenage memories, third single from her excellent fifth studio album ‘Remind me Tomorrow.’

Following her closely are Lizzo‘s irresistibly soulful ‘Juice,’ LA indie rockers Cherry Glazerr with ‘Wasted Nun;’ Californian alt-folk songwriter Cass mcCombs with ‘The Great Pixley Train Robbery’ and the Danish noise-pop of Lowly with their haunting new single ‘Baglaens.’

Highest entry of the week is the new project formed by Conor Oberst and Phoebe Bridgers, Better Oblivion Community Center, with a song dedicated to the poet ‘Dylan Thomas.’ Among the rest of the entries the new offerings by King Princess & Fiona Apple;James Blake with ROSALIA;Nilüfer Yanya; Vampire Weekend; Toro Y Moi; Jessica Pratt; Lambchop; Ty Segall; Nils Frahm; Broken Social Scene; Lambchop; Joe Crepúsculo and a new song by Beck inspired, like the latest track by Billie Eilish, by Alfonso Cuarón Rober Awards 2018 film favourite ‘Roma’.

The strongest candidate to get the honours as 2012’s album of the year, Frank Ocean’s ‘Channel Orange’ keeps on topping our loop with its many highlights. This time is his collaboration with ex-Outkast André 300 in the touchingly soulful ‘Pink Matter’.

Another new soul crooner, Miguel, is the week’s highest entry, next to some other up and coming artists such as AlunaGeorge; Nathan Fake; Azealia Banks and Kendrick Lamar, teaming up with Young Jeezy on his new track.
