Enigmatic London Trio SAULT Is The New #1

Very little is known about the new #1 in our loop, a London trio called SAULT. Their album “5,” a mix of soul vibes and lo-fi production, currently making waves on the blogosphere. Some of its members have written songs for Michael Kiwanuka and Little Simz and they are released through Kid Sister’s label Forever Living. ‘Let It Go’ is one of their first singles and is our favourite song this week. Thom Yorke and black midi complete the top 3.

Hotly tipped experimental Norwegian singer-songwriter Jenny Hval provides our favourite track this week with ‘Mephisto In The Water’, first taste from her new album ‘Innocence Is Kinky.”

The title track from James Blake’s stunning second album is the highest entry, alongside a number of high profile collaborations by the likes of Poliça With Justin Vernon; Neneh Cherry with Four Tet & Afrika Baby Bam -of Jungle Brothers fame- and the all conquering return of Daft Punk With Pharrell Williams on vocals and Nile Rodgers adding his irresistible funk touch to it.
