The Loop Dances With Black Ballerina

Ariel Pink keeps on building up anticipation for his new album “Pom Pom”. The first two tracks released from the record have both now topped our loop. This week’s favourite track is the very 80’s sounding ‘Black Ballerina’.

Highest debut on this edition is LoneLady with other strong entries by Natalie Prass; Alex Calder; Father John Misty; The Dodos and a lost Burial track just recovered for his label’s compilation series.

Ariel Pink Wants Your Number

The ever amusing lo-fi maestro Ariel Pink is back. This time giving his Haunted Graffiti band some time off. ‘Put Your Number In My Phone’, the first taster from his new album, reaches our loop’s top position, leaving us longing for the full work to be released.

Highest debuts on this edition are two of our favourite female singers Fiona Apple and PJ Harvey with their brand new tracks, both featured in the soundtracks of TV series, The Affair and Peaky Blinders respectively. A$AP Rocky; Communions; Jeremih and Aretha Franklin covering Adele are also among the new entries.

Sky Ferreira Teams Up With Ariel Pink

Pop starlet Sky Ferreira has always chosen very well her collaborators, these time she has joined forces with Roberawards favourite lo-fi master Ariel Pink for a cover of ‘My Molly’, one of Pink’s fist singles. Their new rendition reaches peak position in our loop, now shrunk to thirty songs.

With the majority of this week tracks being new entries, the latest from Wild Beasts; St. Vincent and Common are the highest. The returns of Woods; Chromeo and The Men also debut, as well as the second single from ex-Cocteau Twin Simon Raymonde’s new project Snowbird, whose first single topped our loop a few weeks ago.
