Weyes Blood is the new #1 in our loop with ‘Movies,’ one of the standout moments from her excellent fourth album ‘Titanic Rising.’ The Santa Monica songwriter also enters our list as the guest vocalist in the new Drugstore track. Acclaimed Spanish indie pop project La Casa Azul follows her at the top of our favourite songs.
In a week packed with new releases, female artists are flooding our selection. Amber Mark is the highest new entry and new offerings from Amber Mark; Billie Eilish; Anitta; Soia; Noname; 박혜진 park hye jin ;Buzzy Lee; Big Thief; GIRLI; Ariana Grande with Victoria Monét; Brigitte Laverne also debut strongly. With Hot Chip and The Dodos bringing their long-awaited returns.

Innovative London jazz trio The Comet Is Coming is this week’s top track in our loop with their genre bending number ‘Summon The Fire’. Little Simz Feat. Chronixx; Four Tet feat. KH; Tamaryn and, another new band with genre bending skills, from Almería, Compro Oro, mixing popular Spanish music with anglo-saxon beats in their lo-fi rumba ‘Carmen,’ complete the Top 5 in the latest edition of our favourite songs.
Santa Monica’s songwriter Weyes Blood is the highest new entry, followed by the latest songs by Broken Social Scene; Lizzo Ft. Missy Elliott; Flume; Sacred Paws; ANOHNI; Grimes; La Casa Azul; Peggy Gou… and the return of Aussie psychedelic rockers Tame Impala.
