153-MOLDY PEACHES-Anyone Else But You

(Juno version by Michael Cera & Ellen Page)
The first years of this period saw the debut of a very peculiar band, led by Adam Green and Kymia Dawson, coming from New York’s anti-folk movement. The Moldy Peaches appeared dressed in animal disguises spreading DIY lo-fi sound; irritatingly juvenile lyrics and a catalogue of melodies that ranged from garage or punk to the most naïve ballads of the Velvet Underground. The Peaches disbanded afterwards and none of its members has produced anything as remarkable since. However, “Anyone else but you” and other tracks were rescued for the movie “Juno”, which prevented them to fall into oblivion.
