Marlon Williams’ Miss Lonesome #1 In The Loop
Posted by Roberto in IN THE LOOP on December 1, 2015
An alternative songwriter from New Zealand, Marlon Williams, is this week’s #1 in our loop with his country-rock infused new single ‘Hello Miss Lonesome’, taken from his eponymous first solo album (in studio), which may help global audiences discover his talents.
A new edition packed with the last batch of new releases before the typical end of the year recaps arrive. Freddie Gibbs feat. Black Thought is the highest entry, followed closely by up and coming female singer Eddie Front; Sophie with another highlight from their unusually packaged new album; a track by Dr. Dre not included in his return opus ‘Compton’; new supergroup Rangda; Tame Impala, supporting their excellent latest album with a great new video; the returns of M.I.A; John Cale; Tricky; Wild Nothing; Lunice; Miike Snow collaborating with Run The Jewels and the surprise brand new EP by Foo Fighters, dedicated to the victims of the terrible tragedy in Paris.

Grimes Fills The Loop With Art Angels
Posted by Roberto in IN THE LOOP on November 16, 2015
Canadian alternative poppet Grimes tops the new edition of our loop with her Avril Lavigne-esque power pop anthem ‘Flesh Without Blood’, from her widely acclaimed second album ‘Art Angels’.
Highest entry of the week is by Kiwi alt-country star Marlon Williams, whose controversial video is raising eyebrows for its full nudity and violent content. He’s followed by a pre-christmas avalanche of new releases featuring the latest tracks by Tindersticks with Lhasa de Sela; The Big Pink; Erykah Badu; The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart; Frankie Cosmos; JT The Goon; Bibio; Aphex Twin; J-Lin; J Ralph With Antony; Lizzo; Hinds; Daugher; Banks and two returning hip-hop legends: Pusha T and Missy Elliott teaming up with Pharrell for her long delayed comeback.
