After years of struggling with personal demons, Ms Lauryn Hill is back at her most incendiary and brilliant with a sketch of one of her classic live tracks never before released. Timely dedicated to the events in Ferguson and using the tune of The Sound Of Music’s ‘My Favourite Things’ to showcase the racial hatred still rampant in the States, ‘Black Rage’ gets our loop’s #1 honors this week.

Ariel Pink is the highest new entry on this edition, among the latest offerings from Vince Staples; Grouper; Deerhoof, as well as two of Spain’s hottest new acts Sagrado Corazón De Jesús and Cosmen Adelaida.

The Loop Goes To White Sea

Female singer-songwriters from LA keep on taking over our loops. Last week it was Banks and this edition is M83 collaborator White Sea, whose epic debut single ‘They Don’t Know’ reaches peak position.
