Even when the summer is officially the season of the blockbuster and therefore not the most palatable time for fans of more creative cinema, this year it seems that our screens are being granted with a more balanced offer. Several top-notch documentaries; some recent indie hits; a few international favourites shelved for a while that finally hit our shores and yes, some blockbusters, feature among the ones scheduled for release during the month that’s just begun.
