Latinamerican pop boomed with talent from all corners of the Spanish speaking continent earning growing attention. The Dominican singer Rita Indiana or the Chilean Javiera Mena are some of this year’s stories of success. Next to them, fellow female chanteuses from Mexico, Ceci Bastida and Carla Morrison; fine indie tunes by Dënver or the Spanish duo Klaus & Kinski; the Basque band Delorean taking on the world and a few favorites –Los Planetas; El Guincho; Calle 13- who presented lesser efforts still worth a listen were part of a rich latin musical harvest.
