There was something that anticipated times to come in the music of this married couple from Long Island. They were revisiting shoegaze years before it became trendy, producing an excellent brand of dream pop that mostly went ignored by critics and audiences alike. Their second work “American Whip” earned them a few nominations for the Rober, including the one for best song of 2003 for their ethereally classy “Baby You Should Know”.
