10-SOULSAVERS-Broken (V2)
Electronica continued without offering much excitement, except for the continuous boom of dubstep (Shackleton ; Joker o the most recent mix by DJ/Rupture and Matt Shadetek were solid proof) and the Balearic revival (jj; Air France) that spread all over the world from its Scandinavian origins. Many of the names who had left their mark during past years lowered a bit their standards (Junior Boys, LindstrØm) or failed miserably (The Field); the DFA and Kompact labels were still reliable sources of interesting artists and Warp celebrated with a large program of live events its 20th anniversary as specialist in leftfield music; Bibio stood up among the label’s most recent discoveries.
