In times of unique thought and ideologies in crises, under the dominance of an overbearing capitalist system that started to crack; few raised their political voices in popular music, and fewer even as credibly and earnestly as Ted Leo did. The punk-rocker, often compared to Elvis Costello circa his new wave – best – period, kept the fight alive. His combat spirit was reflected throughout his work with The Pharmacists, which produced such classics as “Where Have All The Rude Boys Gone?”
