#FilmNominations2014 : Best Picture

Emmanuel Lubezki/ TWENTIETH CENTURY FOX

And finally, the last and most important category in any film awards, best picture. This year’s nominated features prove, if nothing else, what a great cinematic harvest 2014 has brought.

The ubiquitous and well advertised Oscar favorites “Boyhood”; “Birdman” and “The Grand Budapest Hotel” share shortlist with lesser known, critically acclaimed international arthouse titles such as “Leviathan”; “Ida”; “Norte, The End Of History” or “Stranger By The Lake”.

The list of ten gets rounded by “Mr. Turner”; “Foxcatcher” and the British groundbreaking sci-fi opus “Under The Skin”. An eclectic lot indeed!
