A new generation of manufactured bands, self-described as pop-punk, adopted the pose and look made popular by the groundbreaking genre; stripping any sign of combative attitude off it. That’s why when this trio from Wales revisited the genre’s original humorous and critical spirit, they didn’t go unnoticed; generating an instant cult following. From their second and best work “mclusky Do Dallas” onwards, Steve Albini took them under his wing, providing an intense and peculiar sound.
