Posted by Roberto in FILM REVIEW, FILM REVIEW on March 25, 2019
Innovative London jazz trio The Comet Is Coming is this week’s top track in our loop with their genre bending number ‘Summon The Fire’. Little Simz Feat. Chronixx; Four Tet feat. KH; Tamaryn and, another new band with genre bending skills, from Almería, Compro Oro, mixing popular Spanish music with anglo-saxon beats in their lo-fi rumba ‘Carmen,’ complete the Top 5 in the latest edition of our favourite songs.

Pottery Gets Warhol’s Shooter To ‘No. 1’
Posted by Roberto in IN THE LOOP on March 19, 2019
The raw, rocking sound of Montreal band Pottery and the song with which they ironically tell the story of the woman who shoot Andy Warhol, ‘Lady Solinas,’ hit “No.1” (as the prophetical title of their debut EP) in the latest edition of our loop. Big Thief; Pixx; Krystal Klear and a very Electronic-like Johnny Marr complete the top 5.
Among the new entries, The Comet Is Coming; CHAI; Marissa Nadler; King Gizzard and the Wizard Lizard; Beast Coast; Compro Oro; Richard Hawley and the comeback of Spanish veteran radical punks La Polla Records!.

Aldous Harding’s Return, ‘The Barrel,’ Tops Our Loop.
Posted by Roberto in IN THE LOOP on March 8, 2019
In a week dominated by female artists – a good way to celebrate International Women’s Day- ‘The Barrel’ tops the new edition of our loop. The first taster from one of the most anticipated releases of the season, New-Zealand songwriter Aldous Harding‘s third album, ‘Designer’, arrives two years after her sophomore work topped our annual best of chart, second only to Kendrick Lamar. The luminous indie pop of Canadian artist Munya climbs to number 2. Hip-hop masters Freddie Gibbs and Madlib; UK dance songstress Roses Gabor and the French electronic-pop of Vendredi-Sur-mer complete our Top 5.
The highest debut comes from one of the best albums of 2019 so far, English female rapper Little Simz‘s ‘GREY Area’ and her collaboration with Chronixx; joined by other new releases by the likes of Four Tet; Charlie Heat & Denzel Curry; Nilüfer Yanya; Vampire Weekend feat. Steve Lacy; Solange; Tierra Whack ; The National; Mac DeMarco and the new single by Sound of 2019 Rober Award nominees Channel Tres.

Posted by Roberto in IN THE LOOP on March 1, 2019
Transgender pop stars Kim Petras and SOPHIE join forces on their poptastic, slick new song ‘1,2,3 Dayz Up’, which has just climbed to the #`1 of our weekly loop. Brooklyn indie-folk band Big Thief, back with gorgeous new track, ‘UFOF,’ and the habitual soundtrack collaborators of Claire Denis’ films , Tindersticks, featuring the star of the renowned French auteur’s latest work ‘High Life,’ Robert Pattinson, in the movie’s main track, ‘Willow’, are the highest new entries.
