The new Danish music scene is increasingly exporting talent to the world. After the success of Lower or Iceage, it’s now the turn of Communions, whose britpop-tastic single “So Long Sun” takes over our loop this week.

Parkay Quarts, Parquet Courts americana alter-ego, is the highest debut, followed by new tracks by Leon Bridges; Viet Cong; Matias Aguayo and Caribou teaming up with Jessy Lanza in one of his latest album standout tracks.

Flying Lotus‘ new album ‘You’re dead’ has been received as one of the records of the year and a career high for the man who makes fusion jazz hip again. One of its standout numbers, ‘Coronus, The Terminator’, brings him back to the top of our chart, weeks after his collaboration with Kendrick Lamar did the same.

Ariel Pink Wants Your Number

The ever amusing lo-fi maestro Ariel Pink is back. This time giving his Haunted Graffiti band some time off. ‘Put Your Number In My Phone’, the first taster from his new album, reaches our loop’s top position, leaving us longing for the full work to be released.

Highest debuts on this edition are two of our favourite female singers Fiona Apple and PJ Harvey with their brand new tracks, both featured in the soundtracks of TV series, The Affair and Peaky Blinders respectively.
