It’s taken a long while, but looks like summer may be finally arriving to British shores. To celebrate it, we’ve compiled a spotify playlist with an anthology of the annual Spanish institution that is “La Cancion Del Verano” (literally, the song of the summer), jumping backwards and forwards through decades and genres to bring all those Mediterranean memories back to mind. Our selection ranges from the (mostly) ridiculous to the (occasionally) sublime, leaving plenty of room to accomodate the cream of the national superstars mixed with global one hit wonders; tanned heartbreakers, talentless bimbos; beach boys; dance crazes and colourful eurodancers that have amused us all these years.
