From Seattle, these self-described specialists in “baroque harmonic pop jams” drenched in the vocal heritage of such legends as The Beach Boys or Croshby, Stills & Nash; impressed with their eponymous debut after two promising EPs. The record became an instant classic, thanks to a flawless selection of songs, so good it made it difficult to highlight a standout. “Your Protector”, showed Fleet Foxes at their most melodic.

The Academy has spoken, after the results of our annual music poll were unveiled, now it’s the turn for the official Rober Awards.
