André 3000 Joins Frank Ocean In Loop Topper

The strongest candidate to get the honours as 2012’s album of the year, Frank Ocean’s ‘Channel Orange’ keeps on topping our loop with its many highlights. This time is his collaboration with ex-Outkast André 300 in the touchingly soulful ‘Pink Matter’.

Another new soul crooner, Miguel, is the week’s highest entry, next to some other up and coming artists such as AlunaGeorge; Nathan Fake; Azealia Banks and Kendrick Lamar, teaming up with Young Jeezy on his new track.

Animal Collective’s Supernatural Heights

Looks like Animal Collective have nailed it again. Their new opus ‘Centipede Hz’ marks a reunion of the original line up in full and first impressions have saluted it as a return to their more experimental freak-folk ways pre “Merriweather”. The anticipating track, ‘Today’s Supernatural’, has fast-tracked its way to the loop’s podium.

An Olympic week that brought us new efforts by the likes of The xx; Lindstrom; Antony & The Johnsons and the surprising news of a posthumous album by Aaliyah being given the finishing touches by Timbaland; Missy and others; a duet between the sorely missed star and Drake is the week’s strongest entry.
