Frank Ocean Swims Good On His 2nd Week On Top

R&B’s biggest promise, Odd Future vocalist Frank Ocean sits comfortably on top of the loop for a second week with ‘Swim Good’, the third track in our charts from his presentation mixtape ‘Nostalgia U.L.T.R.A’ . With his profile now boosted by writing one of the songs for Beyoncé’s fourth album; Oceans official recording debut, to be released in the autumn, is shaping up as one of the most anticipated records of the year.

Hip-hop has been the flavour of the last weeks with recent entries by legendary rapper Nas, boasting a welcome return to form; newcomer Cyhi Da Prince and the Can sampling new track by Spank Rock climbing fast towards the top. Björk ’s first taster from her new project ‘Biophilia’ didn’t fail to impress and makes the highest entry of the week followed by new songs by Wilco; Radiohead and Brian Eno, among many others.

The Loop Gets Fucked Up

The intense, hardcore sounds of Fucked Up’s new and hugely ambitious rock opera “David Come To Life” rose this week to top the loop . “Queen Of Hearts’ is one of the many standouts included in the Canadian’s latest opus.

Among the new entries, the awaited returns of Beirut; more R&B by the hand of The-Dream; another track from Bon Iver ’s sophomore work and soft-rock stadium giants Coldplay ‘ controversial comeback, with a song that seems to be more than inspired by the dance hit from the 90’s ‘Ritmo De La Noche’.

Bon Iver’s Comeback Tops The Loop

After the enormous success of his former work and his unlikely collaboration in KanYe West’s latest opus and Rober Award album of the year winner; the intimate, folk-tinged sounds of Bon Iver , who’ve just returned anticipating their second album by giving away the first single, ‘Calgary’, top the loop this week.

Another of our alt-folk favourite bands, Woods, is the highest entry in this edition, which also brings new songs by R&B greats Drake; Lil Wayne; Beyoncé and Frank Ocean .

Lykke Li Blesses The Loop With Her Sadness

Swedish chanteuse Lykke Li gets this week top spot at the loop with “Sadness Is A Blessing”, another highlight from her sophomore album ’Wounded Rhymes’, beating such competitors as Cults; Junior Boys and Jay Paul .

Bon Iver; Battles; another highlight from Fucked Up’s impressive new rock opera and the glorious noise made by Fuck Buttons’ Benjamin John Power side project, under the moniker of Blanck Mass are the highest entries in this new edition.
